Requirements
- Strong foundation in machine learning, statistical modeling, and process control.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or another programming language.
- Familiarity with bioprocess workflows, fermentation, and downstream processing.
- Hands-on experience with bioprocess optimization models and active process control strategies.
- Experience with industrial data systems and cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of reinforcement learning or adaptive experimentation for process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement active process control strategies, leveraging online measurements and dynamic parameter adjustment for improved productivity and safety.
- Develop and deploy predictive models for bioprocess optimization, including fermentation and downstream processing.
- Analyze high-complexity datasets from bioprocess operations, including sensor data, batch records, and experimental results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into plant operations, ensuring scalability and compliance.
- Communicate findings through clear visualizations, reports, and presentations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data pipelines and modeling frameworks for bioprocess control.
- Partner with engineers and scientists to translate process insights into actionable improvements, such as yield enhancement and cost reduction.
Other
- M.S. + 3 years’ experience or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
