BAE Systems is seeking Systems Engineers to perform as Data Scientists/Analysts to develop, transform, and model data to improve decision making for the U.S. government and Department of Defense.
Requirements
- Experience integrating diverse data streams
- Establishes data standards and acts as custodian of IT and service delivery data sets and streams
- Experience in analyzing complex networks and systems
- Experience in analyzing log data from various network components and operating systems
- Knowledge of the complex environment involving shared networks and multiple security enclaves
- Systems Engineering with network analystengineering background
- Splunk familiarization and dashboard creation
Responsibilities
- develop, transform, and model data to improve decision making
- data extraction and manipulation of data sets resulting in workflows and predictive models for end-users using system tools (dashboards)
- conduct analysis on data to ensure correct predictive forecasting
- manage the analytics request process by capturing requirements
- creation and maintenance of the resulting analytic dashboards
- Experience integrating diverse data streams
- Establishes data standards and acts as custodian of IT and service delivery data sets and streams
Other
- minimum of 16 years' experience
- Information Technology or Engineering Bachelor's or Master’s Degrees are preferred
