Vast.ai is looking for a Data Scientist to turn data into clear, actionable insights that drive key business and product decisions, guiding product development, operational improvements, and customer experience optimization.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Python and advanced SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) for data analysis and automation
- Expertise in exploratory data analysis, data cleaning, feature creation, and summarization
- Strong understanding of hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and experimental design
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT workflows, cloud data warehouses, and large-scale data processing
- Ability to create dashboards and visualizations in QuickSight to communicate insights effectively
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for reporting and analytics
- Extract, clean, and analyze data using advanced SQL in PostgreSQL
- Perform in-depth statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
- Design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate product and operational changes
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports for internal teams in QuickSight
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in clear, actionable formats
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and security of data in all workflows
