Fifth Third Bank is looking to develop, monitor and maintain processes, frameworks, and tools to support advanced analytics, predictive modeling, machine learning, and decision-making, while ensuring reliability and scalability.
Requirements
- Database and analytical experience required
- Proficiency in Python, dbt, SQL, SAS preferred, but not required
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Responsibilities
- Defines and implements standards for data strategy, code quality, and lifecycle management while providing technical guidance and mentorship on automation, data engineering, and best practices.
- Designs, builds and maintains large and complex information sets optimized for performance and reliability; Integrates and extracts relevant information from large amounts of both structured and unstructured data (internal and external) to enable analytical solutions.
- Develops reusable frameworks, APIs, and tools that empower analysts and data scientists to work efficiently.
- Seeks out and identifies ad hoc, manual or fragmented processes and transforms them into automated, reliable, deployable solutions using modern practices.
- Partners with key stakeholders to understand business needs, translates business strategy and goals into manageable problems, and formulates, communicates, and gains buy in for solutions with well defined, measurable outcomes.
- Produces ad hoc reporting and analytics to support requests from the Bank's various lines of business.
- Provides input into the creation of detailed project plans, work assignments, target dates and other aspects of assigned projects.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Advanced degrees preferred, but not required.
- Typically requires minimum of 4-5 years work experience.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to effectively manage time.
- Independent and highly self-motivated.
