The Division of Nephrology is seeking a Data Scientist Associate to support clinical and translational research initiatives focused on kidney disease by managing, analyzing, and visualizing complex datasets to improve patient outcomes.

- Experience with data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL or SAS
- Knowledge of data visualization tools
Responsibilities
- Manage, analyze and visualize complex datasets in clinical and translational research.
- Design, develop and evaluate models and algorithms using advanced data analysis tools.
- Generate and test hypothesis and analyze experiment results and assist in documentation.
- Produces solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from complex and high-dimensional datasets.
- Uses a flexible, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and algorithms that lead to optimal value extraction from the data.
- Evaluates and implements novel approaches to address aims and milestones to multilayered datasets.
- Generates and tests hypotheses and analyzes and interpret the results of experiments.
Other
- Master's degree in a related field OR Bachelor's degree in related field and two (2) years of related experience.
- Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
- MS degree in data science
- Familiarity with healthcare data, clinical research or biomedical informatics
- Strong communication skills and Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
