Tesla is looking to hire a Data Scientist to contribute to the development of the data factory and manufacturing software services for our cutting-edge battery products. This position will help drive technological advancement by delivering data and software solutions to solve high-volume manufacturing problems.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Python and SQL database queries
- Proficiency with large volume data preprocessing and data wrangling
- Strong mathematical/ statistical knowledge relevant to process control and monitoring
- Experience with data warehouse and data lake technologies such as Clickhouse, S3
- Experience with modern machine learning concepts and ML lifecycles
- Proficiency with data visualization techniques and tools using Tableau, R Shiny, Python Dash, Plotly, etc.
Responsibilities
- Leverage large-scale manufacturing data systems to extract key improvement insights and facilitate engineering investigations
- Develop robust and scalable algorithms/ predictive models to improve manufacturing process and quality control capabilities
- Build self-serve data tools to empower data-driven manufacturing
- Collaborate with Software Engineers and Controls Engineers to seamlessly integrate models/ algorithms into production processes
- Experiment with data acquisition & processing approaches to enhance the quality of manufacturing data
- Clearly convey analyses and findings for cross-functional stakeholders
Other
- Degree in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent experience
