Blizzard's Marketing Analytics team within Global Insights is seeking a Data Scientist to build models and analytical frameworks that measure marketing effectiveness, customer lifetime value, and ROI across various channels to help marketing teams make smarter, data-driven decisions that maximize player engagement and business impact.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with marketing mix modeling, attribution, or customer lifetime value modeling.
  • Strong programming skills in Python (or R) and proficiency with SQL.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, programmatic buying) and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement statistical and machine learning models to measure and optimize marketing performance, including:
    • Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) to evaluate channel effectiveness.
    • Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) models to inform acquisition and retention strategies.
    • ROI and attribution analysis across paid, owned, and earned media.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and dashboards to monitor marketing KPIs and model outputs.
  • Collaborate with marketing, finance, and business teams to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling way.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends and best practices in marketing analytics and data science.

Other

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or related fields, with a focus on marketing analytics.
  • Advanced degree (Master’s preferred) in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Ability to work independently on moderately complex problems and deliver actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Experience in the gaming or entertainment industry.
