Apple Ads is looking for a Data Scientist to innovate and develop the next generation of analytical solutions to help people find what they're looking for and help advertisers grow their businesses.
Requirements
- 1+ years of Business Analytics or Data Science experience.
- Strong data analysis skills to conduct deep dives by applying statistics and machine learning to generate clear actionable insights.
- Comfortable with a variety of data stores such as Hadoop, and Snowflake, familiar with distributed analytics engines such as Spark/PySpark.
- Proficiency in SQL, data visualization, and a keen eye for design.
- Strong programming ability in Python, and experience with Pandas, SciPy, and Scikit-learn.
- 3+ years of Business Analytics or Data Science leadership experience.
- Familiarity with job orchestration frameworks such as Airflow.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with other members of a data-centric team to execute on analyses as well as for contributing to the exploration, development, execution, and measurement of analytical solutions that are critical to running the business.
- Monitor business metrics and identify key drivers for large scale trends and patterns in business health.
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into actionable insights with an emphasis on accuracy.
- Combine Information Architecture with Apple standards of design & performance to drive dashboard usability.
- Build statistical models and ML models to provide business-pertinent insights.
- Lead business analytics projects through all phases, including defining investigations, exploring data, conducting analysis, interpreting, and presenting results for customers
- Develop reusable models and data products working closely with Data Engineering team to ensure scalability of models and products in production.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex analyses in a clearly to executive leadership and technical audience.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with advertisers to design A/B tests to demonstrate effectiveness of Apple Ads, collaborate with sales leadership to optimize ads inventory yield, and collaborate with product leadership to solve challenging product problems.
- Experience and knowledge of ad tech, digital and mobile advertising experience is a big plus.
