Roblox is looking to solve the problem of understanding and empowering its creator community by building scalable data products and analyses, designing experiments to quantify impact, and defining metrics to track progress. The goal is to influence how Roblox interacts with its players and creators to accelerate creator velocity and drive growth through data-driven insights.
Requirements
- Experience developing a vision, roadmap, datasets, and tooling in a nascent area.
- Knowledge of statistics fundamentals to support experimental design and causal analysis.
- Experience with exploratory data analysis, data analysis to inform product design decisions, statistical analysis and testing, and machine learning model development.
- Experience building data pipelines and dashboards yourself.
- Experience with data visualization and / or building an analytics platform.
- You understand the value of characterizing data by its distribution. Covariance, Bias, and Conditional Probability are concepts that you rely on every day.
- Experienced in experimentation and developing models to draw insights from data.
Responsibilities
- Build innovative and scalable data products and analyses to empower our creator community.
- Design experiments or causal studies to quantify impact from creator facing product feature launches.
- Define metrics to evaluate success and build dashboards to track progress.
- Build, maintain, and scale reliable data pipelines and dashboards to ensure accurate and timely visibility into team metrics and platform health.
- Experience with exploratory data analysis, data analysis to inform product design decisions, statistical analysis and testing, and machine learning model development.
- Experience building data pipelines and dashboards yourself.
- Experience with data visualization and / or building an analytics platform.
Other
- Bachelors or equivalent degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Math, Economics, Engineering or other related quantitative fields.
- 3+ years of industry experience in Data Science and Analytics.
- Domain knowledge related to gaming, communication, education, building out a platform, and/or enabling creators.
- Experience working on customer support, relations, and / or services.
- Experience working on the creator/seller/producer/content side of platforms.
