The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine's Department of Radiology is seeking a Data Scientist to lead and execute data science initiatives within their Radiology Imaging Core Lab, focusing on AI integration, cloud infrastructure, and advanced analytics to support imaging trials and translational research.
Requirements
- Experience with interactive web application development.
- Experience and track record of results in exploratory data analysis and data visualization.
- Experience and track record of projects in AI, machine learning, deep learning, and human-centered AI.
- Experience supporting proprietary and open source applications, databases, and infrastructure.
- Experience supporting cloud-based infrastructure.
- Experience with Python, Docker and SQL.
- Experience supporting Cloud platforms (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate data science methods in the domains of AI and machine learning.
- Generate and test prototypes for data exploration, analysis, and validation.
- Design and validate machine learning and AI algorithms, including integration into imaging workflows for metric extraction and clinical insight.
- Collaborate with technical teams to access and transform data needed for analyses.
- Lead team of data specialists in project-specific research tasks.
- Lead the development of data visualization dashboards for partners within UC and externally.
- Manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS) and technical repositories using Docker and Git-based systems.
Other
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Proven leadership in managing imaging trials and developing large-scale data systems.
- Strong communication and troubleshooting skills across technical and clinical domains.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
