Comcast is looking to transform telemetry data from over 70 million devices into actionable insights by building and validating models, supporting data pipelines, and developing data workflows.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and distributed data systems.
  • Exposure to time-series data, telemetry, or IoT analytics is a plus.
  • Experience with Apache NiFi, Fluent Bit, or similar data ingestion tools.
  • Knowledge of AWS services such as Athena, Redshift, S3, and DocumentDB.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes and containerized data workflows.
  • Experience with data cataloging and metadata management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and validating models that analyze device telemetry, reliability, and performance.
  • Support upstream telemetry transformation pipelines using Apache NiFi and Fluent Bit.
  • Develop and maintain reproducible data workflows using Python, SQL, and AWS-native tools (Athena, S3, Redshift, DocumentDB).
  • Participate in the creation of dashboards and visualizations for internal and customer-facing metrics.
  • Contribute to monitoring and anomaly detection systems for real-time telemetry streams.
  • Document data definitions, assumptions, and methodologies in collaboration with the data platform lead.
  • Collaborate with engineering to define and refine metadata indexing, data cataloging, and consumption mapping.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
