Requirements
- Proficiency with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
- Expertise in programming languages including Python and R
- Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch
- Deep knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms, including neural networks, SVM, Naive Bayes, and k-NN
- Familiarity with designing and implementing agentic workflows leveraging AI agents for autonomous operations
- Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques and their application
- Proven experience in model fine-tuning and deployment
Responsibilities
- Lead research and development efforts by staying current with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, applying these insights to enhance existing models and create new methodologies
- Oversee the deployment, monitoring, and governance of AI models in production environments, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and model performance optimization
- Drive innovation by leading pilot projects that test and integrate new AI technologies within the organization
- Design, develop, and train machine learning models utilizing supervised, unsupervised, deep learning, and reinforcement learning techniques
- Develop and implement agentic workflows that leverage AI agents for autonomous decision-making and operational efficiency
- Employ retrieval-augmented generation patterns to enhance language model outputs with external knowledge sources
- Fine-tune pre-trained models to ensure their relevance and effectiveness across various healthcare applications
Other
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
- 10+ years of professional experience as a data scientist, preferably within the healthcare industry, though candidates from other sectors with relevant expertise will be considered
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and strategic planning skills
- Preferred: PhD or additional industry experience, cloud platform expertise (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Azure AI Studio), and familiarity with NLP and computer vision techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, product managers, and business analysts to integrate AI solutions seamlessly into existing systems
