The business problem that FedEx Custom Critical is looking to solve is to support the data management strategy, improve quality, and reduce manual work by building reporting, designing BI tools, and developing Machine Learning and AI models to assist with business decision making.
Requirements
- Programming skills and ability to learn new languages including but not limited to: Databricks, Python, JAVA, SQL and SAS
- Knowledge of relational database systems, including but not limited to: Azure Synapse, SQL server, Oracle and DB2
- Basic knowledge of designing and building machine learning models
- Statistical software and reporting interfaces, data mining tools, machine learning techniques and data visualization
- Experience or graduate level coursework with skills in data science, business analytics, computer science, applied mathematics, statistics or related field
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains Extract Transfer Load processes and data pipelines to support reporting, BI and data modeling.
- Identify business opportunities or expand ideas obtained from management to conceptualize and define and model operational problems to assess feasibility and impact.
- Identify performance improvement opportunities via data analysis and develop decision support tools to ensure most cost conscience, efficient use of company resources that supports service objectives.
- Develop concepts into business plans utilizing appropriate research techniques, methodologies, and experience and present them to management with recommendation for implementation.
- Perform extensive analysis of the problem, model, and resources available and alternative solutions.
- Identify, analyze, interpret and visualize trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Assist with the preparation of decision analysis and reports for presentation to management.

- Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related field plus 0 years of experience in the job offered or 0 years of relevant work experience required
