Falconwood is seeking a Data Scientist I to support the Commander, Naval Information Forces (NAVIFOR) N6 Directorate, particularly within the Command Data Office (CDO), by developing data-driven analysis and decision-making tools for the Navy Information Warfare enterprise.
Requirements
- Familiarity with general-purpose analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Python, R, Power BI, Tableau)
- Hands-on experience with SQL databases and data prep pipelines
- Experience with Jupyter, Jama, or related Navy tools preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and modeling of large, complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights
- Support the development of dashboards, data visualizations, and reporting tools using modern BI platforms
- Assist in the integration of structured and unstructured data sources to support analytics workflows
- Conduct data profiling, cleaning, transformation, and normalization activities
- Apply machine learning and statistical analysis techniques to support mission-aligned use cases
- Support the development of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines and data structures for reporting
- Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to turn analytical insights into production-ready tools
Other
- Bachelor of Science in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, databases, visualization, and applied coding
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Must be technically savvy and possess excellent communication skills
- Must have effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
