Microsoft 365 and the Experiences + Devices group (E+D) need to foster a data-informed culture by equipping the Experiences + Devices group with actionable insights to guide their decisions, improve operational efficiency, drive empowerment, and support Microsoft's success in the evolving AI landscape. The Data Scientist II will drive growth across Microsoft 365 and Copilot by creating structured reporting systems and performing deep dive analyses to understand user experience and behaviors.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field
- Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results) or consulting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 2+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
- Experience formulating a roadmap of project activity that leads to measurable improvement in business performance metrics over time
Responsibilities
- Assisting in creating structured reporting systems
- Deep dive into analyses to understand user experience and behaviors to generate hypotheses to drive growth
- See them through as experiments that drive impact
- Acquires data necessary for successful completion of the project plan
- Develops useable data sets for modeling purposes
