Paychex is looking to advance the capabilities of its software suite by designing and implementing sophisticated machine learning models to enhance user experience, streamline company operations, and provide value to both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Demonstrated programming skills, particularly in Python, and familiarity with SQL.
- Proficiency in training, validating, and deploying machine learning models using tools like Scikit-learn, H2O, Keras or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with modern orchestration frameworks such as Airflow or Dagster a plus.
- Familiarity with containers or Docker a plus.
- Familiarity with Big Data platforms and cloud technologies a plus.
- 3 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI.
- Bachelor’s Degree Required – Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement predictive models across various departments, including Product and IT, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Risk Management, and HR, to extract value from data.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and architecture teams to seamlessly deploy models and predictive services into the existing technology stack.
- Integrate state-of-the-art embeddings and large language models into existing software applications, enhancing their functionality and user interaction through the application of advanced natural language processing techniques.
- Utilize advanced Python functionalities to perform data engineering tasks, model development, and automation of processes.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in machine learning and AI and apply this knowledge to generate innovative ideas for practical model development and R&D projects.
- Regularly analyze and validate the performance of deployed models, recommending and implementing improvements as necessary.
- Extract and organize data from internal systems to support comprehensive modeling applications and analyses.
