Google is looking to improve its ad products and user experience through data-driven insights.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience with statistical data analysis, data mining, and querying (e.g., SQL).
- 1 year of experience in managing analytical projects.
- 3 years of experience in scripting, statistical analysis (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS, SAS), developing and managing metrics, and evaluating programs/products.
- Experience with Engineers and Product Managers, around providing product-centric insights, extracting data with SQL and in designing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) flows.
- Experience in analyzing user behaviors in consumer apps, and linking those behaviors to business outcomes.
- Experience in developing models (e.g., statistical and causal inference, classification methods).
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis by utilizing related tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python), use custom data infrastructure or existing data models.
- Report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support business reviews with a cross-functional/organizational leadership team.
- Provide insights and recommendations to influence product feature development decisions.
- Build and prototype analysis and business cases iteratively to provide insights at scale.
- Develop knowledge of Google data structures and metrics.
Other
- Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to influence, prioritize, and support product strategy.
