DigiKey is looking for a Data Scientist Intern to assist with various aspects of their department, discover insights, and identify opportunities through statistical, algorithmic, and visualization techniques. The intern will work on projects such as forecasting, classifications, recommendation engines, AI Vision, and Generative AI.

Responsibilities
- The Data Scientist Intern will model problems, discover insights and identify opportunities through the use of statistical, algorithmic, and visualization techniques.
- The intern will work hand in hand with experienced Data Scientists on projects.
- The intern will also interact with business users to understand problems and demonstrate solutions.
- Examples of projects could include forecasting, classifications, recommendation engines, AI Vision, Generative AI, etc.
- Assist with day-to-day tasks and projects in the assigned department
- Support the team in their regular duties
- Collaborate with team members on various projects and initiatives
Other
- Enrolled in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related major.
- The best candidate for this position will be a current student or recent graduate with education in an applicable area of studyand a strong interest in hands on learning experiences
- Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills including average to above-average computer ability
- Be willing to take the initiative, working independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrating a positive, collaborativeapproach is important in this role
