Roblox is building the largest online marketplace for virtual goods and needs to leverage data science and analytics to inform and evaluate its growth, understand platform activity, and build the best avatar marketplace for millions of users and creators.
Requirements
- Expertise in SQL and experience using scripting languages for data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
- Proficiency in developing data pipelines and working with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hive, Airflow).
- Strong experience in experimental design (A/B testing) and statistical analysis.
- A proven track record of translating complex data into actionable insights and communicating them to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own strategic data initiatives, including building and maintaining core dashboards and reports that track the health of the marketplace.
- Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to measure the impact of new features and inform product decisions.
- Architect and build robust data pipelines to support analytics, reporting, and modeling needs.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to understand user behavior, identify opportunities for growth, and solve ambiguous business problems.
- Contribute to the team's science roadmap by identifying key areas for analysis and experimentation.
- Partner directly with Marketplace leadership (product and engineering) to provide insights that accelerate product development and innovation.

- 4+ years of industry experience in data science, product analytics, or a related quantitative role.
- Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field).
