Data Scientists serve as analytics experts, using numbers to help partners make better decisions, weaving stories with meaningful insight from data, and making critical recommendations for Engineering and Product Management.
Requirements
- 5 years of work experience with analysis applications (extracting insights, performing statistical analysis, or solving business problems), and coding (Python, R, SQL) (or 2 years work experience with a Master's degree).
- Understanding of machine learning models and Large Language Models, with practical experience in evaluating and iteratively improving model performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis by utilizing relevant tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python) using comprehensive technical knowledge, use custom data infrastructure or existing data models.
- Own the process of gathering, extracting, and compiling data across sources via relevant tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python).
- Format, re-structure, and validate data to ensure quality.
- Report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support business reviews with cross functional/organizational leadership team.
- Translate analysis results to business insights or product improvement opportunities.
- Apply statistical analysis, machine learning models, and Large Language Models (LLMs) to solve problems, such as predicting test failures, optimizing configurations, or identifying root causes of developer friction.
- Build and prototype analysis and business cases iteratively to provide insights at scale.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
