myPlace Health is looking to solve challenges in how they care for the communities they serve by uncovering high-value challenges and designing innovative, data-driven solutions. This involves improving provider engagement, documentation and coding accuracy, and ensuring compliant, data-driven risk adjustment submissions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience applying machine learning and predictive modeling
  • Proficiency in Python (preferred) or R, with end-to-end data science solution delivery
  • Strong SQL experience transforming large-scale healthcare data into insights
  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices
  • Knowledge of predictive modeling, classification, and natural language processing
  • Experience analyzing large datasets such as claims, EMR, enrollment, and operational data
  • Experience with Spark, Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy predictive models that estimate risk scores and highlight anomalies across patient populations
  • Contribute to robust data pipelines and scalable model infrastructure in Microsoft Fabric, integrating structured and unstructured data
  • Work with Product and Operations to create production-ready models using version-controlled workflows, CI/CD practices, and cloud environments
  • Track the full lifecycle of risk-adjustment submissions and ensure accuracy and compliance with CMS documents (MAO-004, MOR, MMR)
  • Build dashboards in Power BI to present clear, actionable insights for leaders
  • Monitor physician performance in risk-adjustment workflows and identify opportunities for education and workflow optimization
  • Develop consistent documentation logic, definitions, and reporting workflows for enterprise-wide analytics

Other

  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
  • Ability to turn complex analysis into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a collaborative mindset
  • Hands-on experience with CMS-HCC, PACE, or Medicare Advantage models
  • Based in Los Angeles, with up to 2 onsite days per week depending on business needs
