Requirements
- Proficiency with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
- Strong programming skills in Python and R
- Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch
- Deep understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms including neural networks, SVM, Naive Bayes, and k-NN
- Knowledge of agentic workflows and designing autonomous AI operations
- Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques
- Experience in model fine-tuning and deployment in production environments
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, deployment, and governance of advanced AI models, including generative AI applications aimed at transforming healthcare operations and enhancing member engagement.
- Pioneer initiatives in model governance, model operations, and ethical data use, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Drive innovation through generative AI solutions, contributing to the company's mission of delivering high-quality healthcare services.
- Research and stay current with advancements in AI and machine learning, applying new insights to improve existing models and develop innovative methodologies.
- Lead the deployment, monitoring, and governance of AI models, ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards.
- Oversee pilot projects to test and integrate emerging AI technologies within the organization.
- Design, develop, and train machine learning models utilizing supervised, unsupervised, deep learning, and reinforcement learning techniques.
Other
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience as a data scientist, preferably within the healthcare industry, but candidates from other sectors with relevant expertise will be considered
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills to effectively present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, product managers, and business analysts to integrate AI solutions into existing systems
