Molina Healthcare is looking to leverage advanced AI and data science to transform healthcare operations, enhance member engagement, and improve healthcare outcomes through the development and deployment of innovative AI models, including generative AI solutions.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
  • Strong programming skills in Python and R
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch
  • Deep understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms including neural networks, SVM, Naive Bayes, and k-NN
  • Knowledge of agentic workflows and designing autonomous AI operations
  • Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques
  • Experience in model fine-tuning and deployment in production environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, deployment, and governance of advanced AI models, including generative AI applications aimed at transforming healthcare operations and enhancing member engagement.
  • Pioneer initiatives in model governance, model operations, and ethical data use, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Drive innovation through generative AI solutions, contributing to the company's mission of delivering high-quality healthcare services.
  • Research and stay current with advancements in AI and machine learning, applying new insights to improve existing models and develop innovative methodologies.
  • Lead the deployment, monitoring, and governance of AI models, ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards.
  • Oversee pilot projects to test and integrate emerging AI technologies within the organization.
  • Design, develop, and train machine learning models utilizing supervised, unsupervised, deep learning, and reinforcement learning techniques.

Other

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience as a data scientist, preferably within the healthcare industry, but candidates from other sectors with relevant expertise will be considered
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, product managers, and business analysts to integrate AI solutions into existing systems
