As a Data Scientist (Levels 7/8) at AEP, you'll work directly with business partners to identify opportunities, analyze data, and build models that optimize operations and support strategic initiatives. You'll design, develop, and deploy predictive and prescriptive analytics using modern data science tools and cloud platforms.
Requirements
- Proficiency with analytics and statistical software (Python, R, etc.).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern data science workflows.
- Experience developing and deploying machine learning and AI models in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with modern AI techniques, including generative AI (LLMs, RAG), agentic AI (autonomous agents, workflow automation), and computer vision (image/video analysis).
- Familiarity with MLOps, model monitoring, and version control.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy machine learning, AI, and statistical models to solve high-value business problems.
- Apply modern data science tools (Python, R, cloud platforms like AWS/Azure) for data wrangling, modeling, and visualization.
- Build and maintain scalable solutions for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
- Ensure relevant data is acquired, cleaned, and prepared for analysis.
- Work with data engineers to access and integrate data from various sources.
- Stay current with industry trends in AI, GenAI, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
- Participate in forums and research to bring innovative solutions to AEP.
