Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC is looking to leverage very large data sets to support their Operations and Maintenance departments in their continuous effort to improve safety, increase reliability and provide better service to their customers.
Requirements
- Proficient with Structured Query Languages (SQL) type programming language and/or has exposure to advanced tools.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Able to manipulate large data sets that lead to the development of operational tools.
Responsibilities
- Consistently research new methods of capturing data.
- Develop infrastructure to clean data and implement data scrubbing automation protocols.
- Gathers, extracts, manipulate, analyze, curate, and model data using analytical and statistical tools.
- Identifies new sources of data and new methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Maintains a database ‘sandbox’ or ‘workbench’ environment to achieve the required reports.
- Ensures the efficient performance of queries, algorithms and analytical functions to generate reports.
- Design complex reports or presentations to monitor and analyze assets, events, communications, energy usage, customer information, and other related use cases.
Other
- This position may be required to attend and present at internal meetings and events as well as presenting at various analytics conferences each year.
- This could include visiting with other utilities and vendors at their facility or one of Oncor’s Texas location.
