Requirements
- Substantial experience with SQL
- Highly proficient in Python or R for data analytics
- Exposure to a variety of machine learning and econometric modelling tools and techniques
- Experience interpreting complex data and transforming it into impactful data visualizations that communicate actionable insights for informed decision-making
- Experience with data wrangling and visualizations of macroeconomic and financial data
- Experience with advanced analytical and econometric techniques
- Experience with tools such as Tableau
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead complex analytics projects from inception to delivery in partnership with other Data Scientists, Economists, Product Owners, and Strategists on the team
- Play a leading role in establishing and executing the team’s data strategy
- Recognize and communicate meaningful trends/patterns in data as it relates to consumer and business health
- Collaborate and explore emerging trends in income, spend, savings and credit
- Utilize advanced analytical and econometric techniques to uncover detailed explanations of broader economic trends
- Develop and maintain dynamic and interactive visualizations using tools such as Tableau
- Identify and validate data sources and quality
Other
- 7 years’ experience working in a Data Science or Econometrician role and a BS degree in a related field
- Clear and succinct written and verbal communication - able to frame and present messages for different audiences
- Critical and analytical thinking
- Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities and projects
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals
