Requirements
- Passionate about building beautiful web apps that focus on data explanation and exploration.
- Experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
- Experience working with a component framework like React or Vue.js.
- Comfortable with D3 and/or other visualization libraries.
- Knowledgeable about trade-offs between different chart types and able to make good decisions on how to best represent various types of data.
- Experienced in working with data from a variety of sources, including API endpoints and relational databases.
- Familiar with working with data-centric teams on metrics and analytics, and have basic statistical knowledge and intuition.
Responsibilities
- Work on some of the most used internal tools at Netflix, bringing together multiple data sources, metrics, and predictive analytics to keep the business informed about how content is performing.
- Collaborate with both creative and business stakeholders to rapidly iterate on initial designs, informed by user research and feedback.
- Partner closely with R&D teams to bring new metrics, models, and data sources to Netflix.
- Own the user experience and data visualizations for content reporting.
- Build and maintain data storytelling products for Content that are seen as company-wide sources of truth.
- Design, build, and iterate on interfaces with a strong sense of the entire user experience.
- Work with product managers and stakeholders to develop creative solutions to users’ problems.
