Zekelman Industries is looking for an intern to help generate standard and custom reports summarizing business, financial, and operational data, develop and maintain dashboards, provide technical support for existing reports, queries, and data models, and validate data to ensure accuracy and reliability in reporting processes. The goal is to translate data findings into clear visuals and presentations for non-technical audiences, identifying and analyzing trends with business strategy implications.
Requirements
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
- exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud, etc.) or SQL preferred.
Responsibilities
- Generate standard and custom reports summarizing business, financial, and operational data for leaders and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain dashboards in SAP and other BI platforms to visualize key performance indicators.
- Provide technical support for existing reports, queries, and data models.
- Validate data to ensure accuracy and reliability in reporting processes.
- Identify and analyze trends with business strategy implications.
- Translate data findings into clear visuals and presentations for non-technical audiences.
Other
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong interest in business intelligence, reporting, and visualization.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative team player able to work across multiple departments.
- Available to travel for the Internship Summit, hosted at a Zekelman Industries location.
