By Light Professional IT Services LLC is seeking a Test Engineer with Data visualization experience to support the Global Solution Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) program as a member of End to End Visualization Team. This contract includes Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). It also includes support to other key tasks for DISA, including the transformation of DISA’s operational mission through innovation, and support to DISA’s mission partners.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software testing, including 3+ years with the ELK stack (Kafka, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana) focused on integration testing and visualization validation.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Kibana, Elasticsearch APIs, Jira, Confluence, and Git repositories.
- Experience with big data applications and distributed systems.
- Experience with automated test frameworks (e.g., JUnit) and test automation tools such as Ansible.
- Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps practices including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Configuration as Code in AWS cloud environments.
- Skilled in automating test tooling and deployment pipelines across diverse AWS environments.
- Familiarity with Xray Test Management and other QA lifecycle tools.
Responsibilities
- Analyze capability requirements and collaborate with technical leads, test managers, and Agile teams to ensure verifiable implementations.
- Define testable acceptance criteria in user stories and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate stakeholder requirements.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test data, test cases, acceptance criteria, and summary reports to support Kibana dashboards.
- Design and implement test strategies for data ingestion, processing, and visualizations in Kibana (React, JavaScript, HTML), including interface integration tests.
- Perform regression, integration, and verification and validation testing.
- Execute tests, troubleshoot issues, and manage defects through resolution using tools like Jira.
- Assist with identifying and supporting external dependencies where needed.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college, or equivalent combination of education and experience; 8–12 years of professional experience, or 6–10 years with a related Master’s degree.
- Active Security+ (or other 8570-compliant) certification, or ability to obtain within a short timeframe.
- Proven experience working in Agile development environments as part of cross-functional, fast-paced technical teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Must hold an active DoD Secret clearance.
