The State of Maine Office of Technology is seeking a remote Data Warehouse Developer to support the existing projects and production environments, with the goal of ensuring systems are continuously available and function properly.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with the application of Data Warehouse design and development principles.
- Experience within an Oracle Cloud environment (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - OCI).
- Must have hands on experience with PL/SQL
- Must be able to review & convert Coding
- Data/Business analysis skills needed to gather business requirements and create technical documents.
- Familiar with a shared team development environment, including the ability to perform tasks for all aspects of the SDLC.
- Understanding Kimball method and how it is applied.
Responsibilities
- Assist in meeting the timeline of the existing projects, while supporting agency users with the current production environments. Resource will provide continued support after projects go-live.
- Prepares detailed design specifications for highly complex and large-scale systems to plan and facilitate system development and programming.
- Maintains assigned systems, responding to and resolving system problems to ensure systems are continuously available and function properly.
- Develop systems employing higher level languages such as 3 GL's, 4 GL's, enterprise class application development tools, system utilities, and project management tools to prepare systems for implementation.
- Diagnoses and isolates complex application software problems; formulates and implements effective solutions considering system capacity, limitations, time requirements, and desired results to resolve system problems and prevent reoccurrence.
- Design and develop subroutines in support of system development efforts to achieve maximum productivity.
- Perform difficult, complex, and specialized programming assignments to ensure users and business needs are met.
