Universal Logistics is seeking a data warehouse engineer to design, develop, and implement enterprise-level business intelligence and analytics platforms to power decision-making across the organization.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SSIS and SSRS development.
- Scripting knowledge in PowerShell and Python for data processing and automation.
- Strong knowledge of data warehouse architecture, dimensional modeling, and data mining techniques.
- Advanced understanding of ETL processes and relational database systems.
- 4–8 years of professional experience using Qlik, Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Redshift or Databricks.
- Experience with cloud-based data warehouse architecture, including Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
Responsibilities
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and comprehensive BI solutions.
- Design, build, and deploy scalable BI tools and dashboards.
- Troubleshoot and enhance existing reports to improve accuracy and usability.
- Implement technical and strategic improvements in existing BI systems.
- Develop and execute SQL queries to support data analysis and reporting needs.
- Build interactive, visually compelling reports and dashboards using Qlik Sense and SSRS.
- Design and implement ETL pipelines using SSIS and Visual Studio, including stored procedures, control/data flows, and parameter management.
