Zoom is looking to build, deploy, and support the database layer for critical products like Zoom Phone and Contact Center, aiming to enable new product features, reduce costs, improve database performance, increase reliability, and enhance security.
Requirements
- Be proficient in relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as MySQL.
- Have expertise in AWS Aurora DB, DynamoDB and ElasticSearch or related technologies.
- Have the ability to script and automate routine database tasks using Shell and SQL.
- Demonstrate knowledge about data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Have experience with database monitoring and performance tuning tools.
- Be proficient in ensuring data integrity and availability by overseeing database storage, access, and security.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring data integrity and availability by overseeing database storage, access, and security.
- Taking part in staging and production deployments, including troubleshooting issues and monitoring capacity.
- Documenting and maintaining installation procedures, issue resolutions, environment configurations, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Participating in staging and production deployments, troubleshooting and capacity monitoring.
- Ensuring installation, maintenance and monitoring of production database infrastructure.
