Leidos AIE team is seeking a Database Administrator to support their Enterprise Data Center Software applications Team, which deploys systems to Army installations globally. The role involves managing and maintaining SQL databases in cloud and on-premise environments, ensuring data integrity, and supporting system installations and operations.
Requirements
- Knowledge of SQL databases to include configuration, clustering and stored procedures.
- Current CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification is also required.
- Microsoft related certifications desired but not required, knowledge of Windows SQL databases, clustering, stored procedures and backups of databases.
- DOD vulnerability and compliance scanning, remediation and documentation.
- AMAG, Vindicator, Access Control Systems knowledge/experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing tasks relating to Database Management System (DBMS) applications, including definition, design, structure, documentation, upgrades, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, data migration, and protection.
- Duties may include entering and reviewing data within the database, ensuring user data integrity, maintaining database support tools, database tables and dictionaries, recovery and back-up procedures, and making recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.
- Develop scripts and migrate data between two different systems that utilize Microsoft SQL sever
- Design, build, configuration, documentation and operational support for SQL databases supporting the deployed systems.
- Configuration, development and troubleshooting related to stored procedures and clustering of SQL databases
- Develop installation process plans and settings for site specific work related to the installations database
- Maintain Information Assurance configuration documentation and remediate security vulnerabilities.
Other
- Must possess or be eligible a Secret clearance.
- Typically requires BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or master’s with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
- May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
- College degrees in engineering, IFSM, or computer networks are desired.
- A combination of work experience and Microsoft certifications may be substituted for a college degree.
