Supporting a high-visibility, mission critical customer with database administration services at MetroStar
Requirements
- Experience with SQL and experience with PL/pgSQL or similar procedural language
- Experience with Linux/Unix and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Json
- Familiarity with other relational database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.
- Experience overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases in Kubernetes and Linux environment
- Experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) and cloud services (Azure, AWS)
- CI & CD development experience with technologies like Gitlab, Bash or Jenkins
- Knowledge of migrating, backing up, and restoring databases in place or to new environments
Responsibilities
- Provide daily interface with and communications support for a VIP Federal customer
- Work with a highly qualified technical team
- Develop new applications and maintain legacy apps
- Use SQL tools to monitor daily database activity and health
- Experience creating complex SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, Views, Cursors and User Defined Functions to implement business logic
- Experience providing primary support to various business critical SQL Server applications
- Able to support and troubleshoot RDBMS platforms on Linux, Kubernetes and Windows environment
Other
- Active TS/SCI eligible clearance and Security + certification
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics
- At least six to eight (6-8) years in database administration and management
- Ability to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States
- Must complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire
