NT Concepts is seeking a Database Developer to support the DoD enterprise Military Housing system, a complex system of 34 web-based modules used by over 10,000 active users to meet the housing needs of over 2.5 million service members, DoD civilians, and their families.
Requirements
- Working knowledge and experience with Oracle DB, PL/SQL, and SQL
- Experience with query tools such as Toad or SQL Developer
- Experience in writing SQL scripts to automate routine database tasks and support data transformation processes
- Good understanding of Oracle packages, procedures, triggers, indexes, and functions
- Understanding of Oracle database design, theories, and data retrieval procedures adopted by applications
- Basic understanding of database security best practices
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts and tools
Responsibilities
- maintain multiple customer databases
- ensuring that information is accessible to the right people at all times
- responding to customer questions / issues with Oracle database modules
- review procedures in Oracle database as required by the applications
- writing SQL scripts to automate routine database tasks and support data transformation processes
- managing database code and collaboration
Other
- Secret clearance required to start, must be eligible for a Top-Secret clearance
- Must be local to the DC Metro area
- Highly self-motivated with the capability to independently analyze codebases and perform in-depth research with minimal supervision
- Ability to adapt to different teams and changing priorities and requirements
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
