NT Concepts is seeking a Tier 2 Database Developer to support the DoD enterprise Military Housing system, a complex system of 34 web-based modules used by over 10,000 active users to meet the housing needs of over 2.5 million service members, DoD civilians, and their families.
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle DB, PL/SQL, and SQL.
- 5+ years of experience supporting Oracle database environments.
- Proven experience with data updates, imports, and integrity validation.
- Comfortable using tools like Toad or SQL Developer.
- Experience with Git/GitHub and scripting tools.
- Familiarity with data modeling and database security best practices.
- Active CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8140-compliant cert.
Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views to support enterprise applications.
- Analyze and enhance existing database modules, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with project requirements.
- Respond to and resolve customer questions or issues related to Oracle databases, focusing on PL/SQL-based solutions.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration between Oracle database operations and application requirements.
- Collaborate with a support team to diagnose and resolve front-end user issues stemming from database dependencies
- Perform database tuning and optimization to enhance query performance.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for database components, processes, and updates.
