EverWatch is looking to improve database technology to support critical missions of the US Government
Requirements
Experience with SQL and performance tuning query optimization
Experience with logical and physical replication, partitioning, and backup strategies
Experience with PostGIS and PostgreSQL
Knowledge of monitoring tools, including pg_stat_statements, Prometheus, or Grafana
Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and CLI tools like psql
Knowledge of scripting languages for automation and tooling
Experience with containerized environments like Docker or Kubernetes
Knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL, or Azure Database for PostgreSQL
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code including Terraform and Ansible
Knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, or NoSQL
Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis
Implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database
Use technology and tools like PostgreSQL to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical database
Translate a set of requirements and data into a usable document to support the mission
Mentor and learn new tools and skills to grow as a team
Work with clients to provide peace of mind as you implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database
Closely impact our country's security by improving database technology

TS/SCI with a polygraph
Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of experience with database engineering or HS Diploma or GED and 10+ years of experience with database engineering
