Northrop Grumman is seeking a Database Engineer (DBE) to support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. NASIC requires expertise in managing and administering various databases, including Neo4j, Oracle, MariaDB/MySQL, and MongoDB, to support mission-critical needs related to intelligence on air, air defense, cyber, space, and ballistic missile threats. The role involves modernizing the database architecture with cloud technologies, DevOps CI/CD pipelines, and containerization, aligning with NASIC's Digital Transformation efforts.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience with Database Engineering / Administration
- Experience with Oracle, MariaDB/MySQL, or MongoDB Database administration
- Neo4j or other graph database administration experience
- Experience with DevOps architecture such as Kubernetes, Nexus, Harbor, Docker, GitLab, etc.
- Experience with Apache, NGINX, or JBoss Server administration
- Experience with scripting using tools such as Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell, etc.
- Active CompTIA CASP+ or Security+ certification
Responsibilities
- share in the administration of Neo4j, Oracle, MariaDB/MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
- take lead on Neo4j / Graph Database Engineering activities
- provide general support for the other databases
- support a production environment on site at NASIC/WPAFB
- Development of containerization and Kubernetes skillsets will be critical
- support modernization such as Cloud technologies and DevOps CI/CD pipelines
