TekSynap is seeking a Database Manager to provide technical expertise and guidance in the effective use of database management systems (DBMS) to support their Federal Government customers
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in database management, including experience with DBMS internals and application design
- Must be capable of providing high technical expertise and support for DBMS
- Evaluate and recommend available DBMS products supporting user requirements
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority, such as MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Development or MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Administration
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in the effective use of database management systems (DBMS)
- Perform system analysis and programming utilizing modern DBMS technologies
- Design and deploy database applications, incorporating efficient file structures, indexing strategies, and security measures tailored to user requirements
- Assess and recommend DBMS solutions based on validated business and user needs
- Develop, implement, and manage database backup and recovery processes to maintain integrity, security, and availability
- Ensure strong data management practices are upheld to support and sustain the operational environment
