Valkyrie Enterprises needs a Database Specialist/Software Developer to maintain and grow a suite of web applications supporting their mission, while also modernizing tools and processes and contributing to AI/ML development.
Requirements
- Must have strong knowledge of SQL Server schema design and optimization.
- Must have solid experience with Postgres, including performance tuning and cross-platform data considerations.
- Must have working knowledge in C-Sharp / .NET MVC web development.
- Strong experience with full-stack development, including front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end development (C-Sharp and .NET Framework) , preferred.
- Proficiency in designing, implementing, and optimizing SQL database structures and queries, preferred.
- Experience with AI and ML, preferred.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Take the lead on complex SQL Server and Postgres design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Support effort to migrate and integrate data between SQL Server and Postgres environments.
- Contribute to our .NET MVC web applications (C-Sharp, Kendo/Telerik, front-end integrations).
- Help shape best practices for data access, schema design, and performance across our applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers and developers to enhance and modernize tools and processes.
- Participate in requirements gathering and interface directly with end-users to understand their needs and design solutions.
- Perform full-stack development tasks including working with SQL databases, back-end services, and front-end UI components.

- Must have a Bachelors degree and at least 2-10 years of professional experience in software/database development.
- Must be comfortable working in a small team where you may wear multiple hats.
- Must have strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex issues.
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
