Highway Transport is looking for a senior-level full-stack modern .NET developer to maintain existing and develop new responsive web applications, API’s, and Windows services to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented, n-tiered, and microservice-based architectures
  • Solid understanding of backend services and API coding standards and best practices
  • Experience consuming and building both RESTful and SOAP APIs
  • Full-stack development using VB/C-Sharp .NET, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • .NET Framework 4.5 and newer
  • Knowledge with 3rd-party add-ins, like ABCpdf
  • T-SQL (Microsoft SQL Server)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with developers, programmers, and designers in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications
  • Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures
  • Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software’s business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users/departments
  • Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation
  • Research, identify, analyze, and fulfill requirements of all internal and external program users
  • Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology preferred, related field or equivalent experience acceptable
  • At least six years’ experience developing enterprise-grade web applications and API’s
  • Normal work schedule: after hours work and/or weekend work required, as necessary
  • Majority of time spent in an office environment
  • Unless remote, travel unlikely
