Jabil is looking to enhance technician competency in Linux-based diagnostics, server-level failure analysis, and hardware/software interaction for high-performance Rack & Server Products
Requirements
- Proficient in Linux environments (Red Hat/CentOS/Ubuntu); command-line usage essential
- Strong knowledge of server architecture: CPU, DIMMs, PCIe lanes, NICs, GPUs, BMC, BIOS
- Familiarity with PXE, TFTP, kernel, pstore, ramdisk, and system recovery mechanisms
- Experience in shopfloor system, Test UI , Linux command, and failure classification
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to train others on structured debug approaches (e.g., 5-Why, Fishbone)
Responsibilities
- Deliver structured on-the-floor training for server debug technicians, emphasizing Linux command-line diagnostics and system log analysis
- Provide guidance on server board-level fault isolation, PCIe link issues, BMC/SMBus diagnostics, BIOS/firmware validation, and network troubleshooting
- Lead the shift-level certification process and track technician performance and SOP compliance
- Support first-time-fix improvements by coaching technicians on root cause isolation techniques
- Monitor debug accuracy, repeat failure rates, and escalate recurring or complex issues to engineering
- Validate technicians’ understanding of procedures involving Rack Test during server bring-up and recovery
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in high-complexity or high-priority units, as well as other systems requiring attention

- 3+ years of experience as a debug technician
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Ability to lift and carry PC’s and test equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
