Requirements
- Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts
Responsibilities
- Uses pneumatic tools to precisely finish complex aircraft parts post-CNC machining to conform to blueprint specifications.
- Studies blueprint or layout on work pieces, and selects proper deburr equipment according to material, size and shape of work, and amount of stock to be removed, applying knowledge of deburring procedures
- Verifies conformity of finished work pieces by measuring dimensions with micrometers, calipers, or thickness gage, or by checking surface finishes with surface gages
- Cuts tooling lugs off work pieces using a band saw or cutoff wheel

- Between 6 months and 1 year of trade school, vocational education, work experience, or apprenticeship
