Shopify is looking for a Demo Engineer to help enterprise brands understand the capabilities of Shopify through interactive demos, prototypes, and tools, ultimately driving sales and revenue.
Requirements
- Experience with Shopify Liquid (or a comparable templating language) or the ability to learn it quickly.
- Experience building front-end applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus a modern framework (e.g., React).
- Experience with Node.js, Ruby, or Python for APIs, scripts, and tooling.
- Strong UI implementation skills with experience styling templated pages and creating accessible, visually clear layouts.
- Familiarity with GraphQL and Shopify Storefront and Admin APIs.
- Experience designing demo architectures, mock data, and sandbox environments.
- Experience building internal tools and automation pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Build merchant-facing experiences and interactive demos using Shopify and modern web technologies.
- Design, prototype, and iterate quickly to communicate product capabilities and integration patterns.
- Create tooling and automation to streamline and scale demo workflows.
- Build reusable assets that help close deals and drive revenue across the sales organization.
- Contribute to our technical sales strategy and repeatable patterns.
- Document, maintain, and improve demo assets with a focus on accessibility, performance, and scale.
- Present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences with clarity and empathy.
