QinetiQ US is seeking a skilled Deputy Senior Operations Research Analyst to support a federal law enforcement agency client with advanced analytical capabilities for decision-making, policy formulation, and strategic planning.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and statistical analysis
- Experience with Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Experience with database systems and basic data warehousing concepts
- Familiarity with simulation software and mathematical modeling tools
- Basic experience with ArcGIS or similar geospatial tools
- Exposure to Databricks, AWS, Azure, or similar cloud-based platforms
- Basic experience with GitHub or similar development platforms
Responsibilities
- Assist in development, maintenance, and enhancement of agency suite of Discrete Event Simulation (DES) models
- Support analytics and reporting requirements meetings with agency and stakeholders
- Help identify gaps in agency decision support tool development and assist with improvement recommendations
- Support evaluation and implementation of artificial intelligence, data visualization, and business intelligence platforms including Python, GitHub, Qlik, Tableau, ArcGIS, Databricks, and Palantir Foundry
- Assist in maintaining agency-related geospatial capabilities and Logistics Optimization Decision Support Tools
- Support recurring model maintenance and governance activities
- Assist in preparing models for official DHS accreditation including documentation development
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in operations research, predictive modeling, or data analytics
- Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate federal security clearance
- Background investigation required
- Must be U.S. citizen
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
