Rite-Hite is looking for a Design Engineer – Advanced Technology to lead the development of next-generation solutions that set new industry standards in functionality, efficiency, and connectivity.
Requirements
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks), data analysis tools, and engineering simulation
- For Electrical Engineers: Experience in solid-state electronics, firmware/software (C, C++, C-Sharp, Visual Basic), and PLC programming is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Generative AI or Machine Learning in engineering applications
Responsibilities
- Drive product innovation across mechanical, electrical, structural, and hydraulic systems
- Translate advanced concepts into real-world designs using 3D CAD (SolidWorks), simulations, and iterative testing
- Lead development of smart product ecosystems, including embedded systems, PLC programming, and solid-state electronics (for Electrical Engineers)
- Apply advanced modeling and data analysis to validate and optimize product performance
- Recommend new materials and components to enhance function, reduce cost, or introduce novel capabilities
- Collaborate across engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to bring concepts to life
- Support field testing and troubleshooting of prototype technologies in real-world settings
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in product design or development
- Strong ability to synthesize complex information and solve technical problems creatively
- Product development background or entrepreneurial mindset
