Applied Materials needs to solve complex engineering and technology problems within the Chemical Delivery space to drive innovation and maintain its leadership in the semiconductor and display manufacturing industry. The role aims to influence future technology and product strategy by developing solutions for challenges that currently lack identified solutions in the market.
Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge in commercializing chemical delivery components (MFC, MFV, BPC, Gauges, Valves, Transducers).
- Semiconductor process knowledge & past experience working in a Semiconductor fab will be a plus.
- Deep subject matter expert who consults with management and customers on exceptionally complex technical issues.
- Demonstrates broad and comprehensive expertise in leading-edge theories, techniques and/or technologies within own field
- Recognized as “guru” or external expert in the Chemical Delivery Space.
- Leads through contribution to the development of new principles and concepts.
- As a technical role model to Applied's technical and engineering community, guide less experienced engineers.
Responsibilities
- Technically lead and/or execute unusually complex engineering projects and spearhead research and development of new technologies as appropriate
- Develops and implements concepts for entire range of unusually complex product issues and engineering solutions
- Problem identification and troubleshooting a wide range of unusually complex engineering and technology problems that have division wide potential implication
- Interface with internal and external customers regarding unusually complex engineering issues and troubleshooting to solve customers High Value Problems
- Specify or perform unusually complex engineering analysis
- Specify the development of, design, or modify engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of unusually complex scope Generate product specifications.
- Define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering tests.

- Influences the strategy to address internal or external business needs in developing an optimum solution that meets technology, cost & quality objectives.
