Encova Insurance is seeking a Developer to support their technical team in Columbus, Ohio or Charleston, WV locations

Requirements

• General understanding of technical skills, programming languages and tools used by the company
• Logical thinking in making decisions, completing work tasks and solving problems
• Ability to achieve continuous improvement in technical and business acumen skillset
• Must possess good written communication skills
• BS/BA or greater in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate continued technical skill growth
• Learn and apply code standards within a primary technical domain
• Demonstrate continued growth in the use of developer environment tools, ancillary software tools and technology
• Participate in team meetings and project scrum meetings
• Write, test and document code needed to implement approved requests for changes
• Test and debug new or modified code to verify its accuracy and completeness
• Assist peers in root cause analysis of production incidents

Other

• Reside within two hour driving distance to one of the offices for in-person work as needed for meetings or projects
• Must be able to work in the United States, specifically in one of the states where Encova is registered for payroll
• BS/BA or greater in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
• Ability to achieve continuous improvement in business acumen skillset
• Good written communication skills
