9th Way Insignia is seeking a Database Architect to support the Consolidated Corporate Support Services (CCSS) 2.0 contract for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Database Architect will be responsible for designing and modeling data structures to support enterprise financial and administrative systems. Aligned with Section 5.2 of the PWS, this role focuses on ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient database architectures that align with VA operational and modernization goals.
Requirements
- Experience with enterprise-level systems in government or financial domains.
- Familiarity with Java, .NET, or Python in modern frameworks.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience using source control tools such as Git and project tracking systems like Jira.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain application features in alignment with technical specifications.
- Participate in Agile development teams, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with business analysts and architects to translate requirements into code.
- Write clean, scalable, and secure code following industry best practices.
- Conduct unit testing and peer code reviews to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Participate in continuous integration and deployment processes.
- Document code, APIs, and system configurations for maintainability.
Other
- BD degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required, or related discipline.
- 5 years of related professional experience.
- 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
