Akkodis is seeking a Developer to architect and build reactive microservices deployed in Kubernetes on public cloud platforms for a client in Bentonville, AR.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with strong experience in building reactive microservices deployed on Kubernetes in public cloud environments (GCP or Azure).
- Strong understanding of microservice architecture, multithreading, performance tuning, and test-driven development using JUnit and Mockito.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop highly scalable, fault-tolerant, reactive microservices using Java, Scala, Go, Spring Boot, and RESTful architecture.
- Architect cloud-native applications deployed in Kubernetes ecosystems on public cloud platforms like Google Cloud (GCP) and Microsoft Azure.
- Ensure high code quality and test coverage, leveraging tools such as JUnit and Mockito for unit testing and test-driven development.
- Optimize performance and reliability of distributed systems through multithreading, networking, and performance tuning best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain disciplined development practices including code reviews, documentation, and structured coding.
- Design and implement data solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases like Oracle, Cassandra, and Azure Cosmos DB.

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in developing scalable microservices and distributed systems.
