Encord is looking to solve the problem of becoming the technical voice in the AI/ML developer community and leadership ecosystem by creating compelling technical content, speaking at industry events, and building authentic relationships with practitioners and technical leaders.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Computer Vision Engineer, or similar role building and deploying models in production
  • Demonstrated experience with data workflows - understanding the challenges practitioners face firsthand
  • Familiarity with MLOps tools and data platforms
  • Computer vision experience
  • Experience with building and deploying AI/ML models in production
  • Understanding of AI infrastructure, team scaling, and organizational best practices

Responsibilities

  • Build real-world examples and reference projects demonstrating Encord workflows across AI/ML use cases - using these implementations as the foundation for technical content including blog posts, video tutorials, interactive notebooks, code samples, and guides
  • Speak at industry conferences and AI/ML meetups - delivering technical workshops for practitioners and strategic talks for engineering leaders on building effective AI teams and infrastructure
  • Build and nurture Encord's developer community across various social platforms - engaging with individual contributors, team leads, and technical executives
  • Lead research on emerging trends in foundation models and AI/ML, translating developments into actionable insights for both practitioners and leaders
  • Serve as the voice of developers and technical leaders within Encord, channeling feedback from engineers and strategic insights from VPs and CTOs to Product and Engineering teams
  • Organize and host virtual meetups, community workshops, and executive roundtables that bring together practitioners and leaders around shared technical and organizational challenges

Other

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Effective communicator who can explain complex technical concepts clearly to engineers while also articulating strategic value and organizational impact to technical executives
  • Self-directed and entrepreneurial, able to identify opportunities and execute independently in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Passionate about helping developers solve problems and building technical communities while understanding the broader organizational challenges leaders face when scaling AI teams
  • Ability to travel for conferences, events, and meetings
